What's New at the TRWA

2022 Spring Garden Sign. Allison & Rodney Pearson. The watering can with solar lights is so awesome.There is always something new going on at the Townsend River Walk & Arboretum. Stop by and enjoy all the sights.

Eastern Redbud planted 2022.04.15 joins the 5 other redbuds on the upper path. This eventually become the Arboretums designated Redbud.

The Last Major Invasive Management Day took place on February 26, 2022 with volunteers from the Tuckaleechee Garden Club, Blount County Master Gardeners, Keep Blount Beautiful, The Little River Watershed Assoc., Girl Scouts and community members at large. Great Job. READ MORE!

Stumptown Faerie Village was remodeled in February 2022, thanks to Rodney and Allison Pearson. It even has its on chapel!

On Tuesday November 2, 2021 a group from the Tuckaleechee Garden Club and Keep Blount Beautiful planted: River Oats, Fern Moss, Fan Clubmoss, Great Blue Lobelia, Red Cardinal Flower, Partridgeberry Plant, and Virginia Bluebell. All plants donated by Keep Blount Beautiful.

Keep Blount Beautiful donated to the TRWA: two Sassafras and four Paw Paw trees and even provided the labor to plant them!

The Fall Decorations give way to the Winter Decorations at the TRWA, thanks to the Tuckaleechee Garden Club.

The Iris Garden received an update with the addition of Baptisia, Persimmon Trees and a nice layer of mulch.
