Bear-proof Trash Can and Dog Waste Bag Dispenser Added to the North End of the Townsend River Walk & Arboretum. We want to thank everyone that contributed to the TRWA during our Picnic Area Fund Drive. This is the first Phase of the Picnic Area project and without your generosity, this project would not exist. All the labor to install these project is done by a fantastic team of volunteers!
Our second clutch of bluebirds have arrived at the new bluebird house. The first clutch fledged about 2 weeks ago.

The Summer Pollinator Garden that was planted last November is growing at an incredible pace. The Yarrow and Lanceleaf Coreopsis is in bloom with the Liatris and Rattlesnake Master not far behind. We had about a 95% plant survival rate thanks to the healthy plants provided by Millie at Millers Cove Native Plants.

Old 73 and the the Children's Discovery Garden just got a freshen up. The elderberry bushes are in full bloom and really sets it off.
The New Picnic area and Rainwater Garden has been slow to get started with all the rain but we have managed to get the dry creek bed started.
This area is our Demonstration Pollinator Garden (the are in front of the trees). It is currently a 4' x about 75' strip that has been planted with a variety of pollinator attracting plants. Eventually the entire area will be a pollinator garden.
