Roadside Specimen Garden Gets A Major Cleanup and Looks Great for 2025
The Townsend River Walk & Arboretum (TRWA) project gang got a great jump on Spring this past Friday. Gina Barnett, Tod Adkins, Allison & Rodney Pearson and Mark Seder provided the muscle to prune and cleanup the Roadside Specimen Garden, Planted two 9 foot Red Maples, Planted 5 Rabbiteye Blueberry Bushes, installed 3 posts that will be the trellis for the Muscadine Grapes to be planted and lots of general tidying and cleanup.
The Grapes and Blueberries are the beginnings of the 2025 projects that include the new picnic area and water garden projects. The Blueberries and Grapes, once established will provide some noise filtering for the picnic area as well as a great treat for the picnickers.!
The maintenance projects are done every week to keep the TRWA looking fantastic and ready for visitors.
Detailed information coming soon on our 2025 Projects and the Fund Drive.
