The Third Piece of Dawn Myer's Bird Art Installed in Our Cedar Tree. Dawn has done an incredible job.
Snow flurries, cold, wind keeps some folks from getting out of doors, but for the TRWA Volunteers, it was just another Friday morning of keeping the Townsend River Walk & Arboretum looking it's best.
Allison & Rodney Pearson mounted the last of three painted bird rocks, an owl courtesy of one of Townsends artisans and friend of the TRWA Dawn Myers, Having mounted it to a log with a nice hollowed out area, this past Friday Rodney installed it on our Arboretum Cedar tree. The results are fantastic.
In the Children's Discovery Garden additional supports and branches were added to the build-a-shelter and the Mud Kitchen got some much needed cleaning and maintenance.
Rodney, Allison & myself did some Children's Discovery Garden planning for early 2025. Plans include a sensory path and sensory gardens as well as a small vegetable garden.
It is going to be another big year of getting things done at the Townsend River Walk & Arboretum. We have the volunteers but could use your monetary donations. If you would like to give to Project TRWA and the ongoing development and maintenance of the TRWA, Donate Today!
