One of the next projects at the Townsend River Walk & Arboretum is the installation of two kiosks at the north and south entrances.   The kiosks are following the plans and guidelines for kiosk's along the Appalachian Trial (AT).

Mark Seder and Rodney Pearson constructed the frame for the first one and set it concrete. It is located a the North side of the TRWA directly as you come out of the tunnel.  The holes are dug for the one on the South entrance and we are planning to install the frame this coming up Friday.

When complete the kiosk will provide visitors a trail map of the TRWA, information about the current plants that might be blooming, producing fruit and other plant information, coming events, a dispenser for take along games like scavenger hunt or nature bingo, as well as a donation box.

Stop on by and check out the work being done.
