Sandy & Charlotte Weeding the Roadside Specimen Garden
A Special Thanks to the Tuckaleechee Garden Club members that attended the April 16 Maintenance Day. Those in attendance included : Theresa & Scott Schehr, Charlotte Miller, Sandy Andrews, Mark Seder and Allison & Rodney Pearson.
About 20 new trees and bushes were planted in the bottom areas and along the river. These include: Bald Cypress, Button Bush, Indigo Bush, Pecan, and Sycamore.
The Roadside Specimen Garden, Cherokee Dogwood Tribe and Iris Garden were weeded and mulched. The area around the Memorial and Pollinator Garden was weeded. All areas along the upper path were weeded, mowed and the sidewalk edged.
The bench that was dedicated to Bob Russell was moved to it's permanent location along the River Walk.
We enjoyed lunch at the Memorial and Pollinator Garden afterwards.
