Mission: TFGC, a supportive member of National Garden Clubs, Inc. and Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., provides education, resources, and national networking opportunities for its members to promote the love of gardening, floral design, and civic and environmental responsibilities.

Meetings
Tuckaleechee Garden Club (TGC) meets at 10:00AM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church, 7300 Old Tuckaleechee Road, Townsend, TN, unless otherwise noted in the calendar.
Visitors and Prospective Members
Tuckaleechee Garden Club (TGC) welcomes visitors and prospective members who want to learn more about the club. Our current members are from a variety of local towns and communities including Knoxville, Townsend, Maryville, Walland, Loudon, Friendsville, and Rockford, and our gardening acumen spans from novice to expert. Our meetings begin at 10:00AM with a one-hour business meeting, horticulture exhibits and design competition. The second hour is devoted to education usually provided by an expert presenter or hands-on activity. Afterwards, club members gather for a pot-luck lunch and social time. Our meetings are fun, informative, and delicious!
Dues are $20/year. The Club year is from April-March

Yellow Lady’s Slipper (Cypripedium parviflorum)
The Yellow Lady’s Slipper belongs to the Orchid family. The blossoms have a sac-like lip with the shape of a slipper or moccasin. The Yellow Lady’s Slipper petals twist in a spiral, flowering in April and growing in the high altitudes of the Smoky Mountains.
